Children are growing, active, and accident prone.  However, because they are extremely adaptable, we often brush any discomfort off as “growing pains”.  Chiropractic can be beneficial in maintaining proper growth and development of babies, infants, and children all the way through to adulthood.

Parents often have concerns that adjustments will be too forceful, such as the ones they receive.  This is not the case.  The younger the patient, the softer the bones.  Therefore, adjustment techniques are modified according to size, and are often gentle in nature.  Newborns and infants are adjusted with light pressure such as the pressure used to test the ripeness of a tomato.  Children adapt extremely quickly and often results and improvements are almost instant.  Conditions commonly treated are colic, torticolis, difficulty latching, erratic sleeping behaviour, scoliosis, growing pains, and chronic ear aches (often associated with chronic ear infections).
