Spinal injuries are the “bread and butter” for most chiropractors.  People often don’t know that we also treat extremity injuries as well.  Extremities are at risk to injury due to increased mobility.  Commonly injured areas include, shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, ankles, feet, wrists, and hands.

The key with these types of injuries is to create stability (through exercise)  and create mobility (through manipulation), where needed. As they say, everything is connected.  Therefore, when dealing with an extremity injury, it often affects a different area as well, due to compensation.  Treatment will therefore include the joints above and below the injured site in order to fully recover.
